Breaking it puts somebody on a shift whose position they are not rated for, which is the first thing a regulator asks about.
What qualifications and currency rules protect
This is the family that connects competency management to the roster, and it is where an integrated system earns its keep. A rating with an expiry date is not a document sitting in a folder; it is a constraint on who can be assigned where, on which day. When an endorsement lapses, the engine stops offering that person for that position rather than producing a roster somebody has to catch by eye.
